By level 18 on a couple characters, I was social III. The sort of complaining you are making means BW would have to force grouping to do anything and that worked just great for DDO. Bottom line: the people are there. It is your choice to be social or to be a recluse.

XP is just fine. The way it is now, you play jusy your class quest on every planet. Every other planet after the capital world you skip the optional quests. With two factions and planet-skipping you are able to play the game 4 times easy without repeating content except flashpoints/warzones. To me that is perfect.

OP: definitely a very good post. Well thought out. I feel encouraged that there is nothing fundamentally flawed with the game. Everything from gear sets, to level 50 mods, to crafting recipes is all things that can easily be added. The bug fixes will come in time. No degree of testing can prepare you for what millions of subscribers will find. For the mod system, I think that they should change all purple gear to contain mods that can be pulled out. Definitely need more social gear options in the medium and heavy armor types. People like to look unique. Don't cheese it and go with the heavy-armor slave girl, but put the art department to work and come up with unique options.

Spamming LFG in general chat =/= community. I support a tool that helps form groups based on spec. I do think that auto-teleport to instances does hurt population density is areas as people tend to stay at the real common areas such as capitals making the rest of the world feel empty.

Actually, you have not paid anything for pre-release. Pre-release is a FREE benefit to committing to by the game. The earlier you committed, the earlier you get in.
