  1. Oh well, I, in all honnesty though it was an appropriate, relevant and interesting information. Now, if it's not, well... the moderators will do their job and move or delete this thread.
  2. I don't see why. It's related to "Community". It's related to SWTOR. It's an information that can be useful for the SWTOR communiy. Having an active community on a Social network like Anook can only have a positive impact on the game itself. Users that may have stopped to play, or that never tried SWTOR might get attracted by seing other players sharing their screenshots and videos. More you speak about the game better chance you have to strenght your community. So, i definitively do not see why my "advertissement" isn't welcome. Beside, I want to be clear that I'm not gaining anything by doing this, beside seing a community grow and have more opportunity to get aquainted with poeple.
  3. Hello everyone! Do you know the social network for gamers Anook.com? It's a great tool to gather the gaming community together, discuss, chat, share videos, livestream, blog, screenshots and much more. It's also an excellent way to promote your work, your guild, your videos, what you are doing, or simply making new friends. But long words mean nothing in comparison to images, so have a look at the trailer, and you will see by yourself, how Anook is THE right answer for the gaming community today. So what's Anook? As brillantly said a LOL player in one of his video "Anook is like Facebook without all the sh*t" It's a social network dedicated to gamers only. All sort of games, on all platforms. The active community is growing a lot. The devellopper crew is dedicated, passionated and active. They implement regular updates and are listening to users feedback. They are also always looking for more moderators, devellopers, artists to be able to cover more games and add more features. Why I love it Anook is my now my main social media. Anook is a ideal platform to get informed about games, about what people are doing in games, sharing your own stuff (screenshots, videos, podcast, livestream, guilds...). As a gamer it's a "save place". There is no worries to spam your non gaming friends with stuff that doesn't interest them, or shock your family or collegues with a passion that they can misunderstand. We can release ourselves and use Anook as much as we wish. It's also awesome because it's not limited to only one single game. Now the gaming industry, and I'm thinking here in MMORPG which are dependant of communities, have evolved a lot. The time with 3 MMO on the market is gone, and players are often hoping from one game to another. Anook is a easy, convenient place to keep contact with all your online friends even while not playing directly together. It's also a great place to be known and promote your own gaming "work" (video, articles, streams etc) How to use Anook? You create your profile (You can sign up via Facebook or Google aswell). To that profile you can link all other social network you have (Youtube channel, TwichTV stream, Facebook, Twitter etc). Some games allow you to link your characters aswel, like WOW armory, TeamForteress, DiabloIII, LOL etc... You follow the games you like, other players, or Nooks (Nook are a page, a blog a forum, it can be many things). Every updates will be inscribed on your wall, so you will not miss anything. You can "Love", "Dislike" and "Share" You can post on your wall, share a link or a image and tag a game to your post. It will appear to the Game wall and to your Wall altogether. You can share this post to different appropriate Nooks, or friends directly. A excellent way to promote what you are doing. For each post, you can earn fame points that will be shown on your profile. You can create your own Nook. It can be a Page, a Blog, a Forum. Depend of what you want to create.Guilds often create a Page for promotion and sharing news. Interesting users or Nooks are featured on top page. Interesting content are highlighted by moderators. If you have any question do not hesitate to contact me: http://www.anook.com/elloa You will find the SWTOR page here: http://www.anook.com/game/swtor The SWTOR community is not very active on Anook yet. That need to change! Wich is why i'm contacting you!
  4. I've voted for Pod/Speeder racing cause I had huge fun with a StarWar race game on the Nitendo 64. But i really would like something to do with my companions. Can we have them as passenger making comments about the race? Would be great! To all whiners of this thread : the subject of the weekly poll is about vehicle/space game to add one day in Star Wars. that do not mean they are not paying attention to other subject that YOU find more important. Answer the question, and stop to worry. The poll is not : do you prefer 1.space combat 2.open world PVP 3.LFG tool
  5. This is a short video about a random operation in Taris to kill the world boss : Subject Alpha, on the server Lord Calypho. We had lot of fun, I find "pugging" in SWTOR very nice. Those World bosses are excellent for socialising in this game. 'Enjoy!
  6. YES Yes, I really like SWTOR. I had originaly planed to play SWTOR only during three month, the time Tera would release, and now I'm planing to play both game. I like SWTOR : - For the story - The immersion in the StarWars universe - The companions and the fact that you really get attached to your characters - I'm enjoying the gameplay of the classes I've been playing - I love the colors and the atmosphere of the different planets - I enjoy PVP (low lvl), in particuliar Hutball My regret : - SWTOR doesn't really feel like a MMORPG, but more like a MORPG. I don't find the mechanics and design of the game encouraging the sense of community. i've not tried end game, so I can't speak about it. Many of my friends and guildies regret the lack of content.
  7. I was exactly thinking the same : I love this game, really much! At the moment I'm enjoying myself with my Cap'tain Jakson, I'm enjoying each of his answers. This game is great!, Really great!
  8. I'm a girl in real life and have always difficulties to like and feel connected with a male character. I alwasy ended by dropping them. I prefer to play a character I can identify myself (atleast partialy), or a cute/sweet character. I'm not much into playing a super sexy female either. But in SWTOR, for the first time I'm playing a male character and I enjoy it a lot! It's not my main character, so my need of identification, I got with my (uber cute and sweet) Jedi Sage. My male character had been made as a joke together with my boyfriend. It's a smuggler, and we played with the char creation to make a guy that could have been a hero or a gangster in a american TV serie of the 70ies, like Startsky&Hutch. I found him so awesome, that I wanted to play it, and I deleted my female smuggler. So far I really enjoy it. I'm playing a bit the cheezy kind of smuggler, flirting with all woman he meets, and rolling on the floor to find a cover with his leather jacket. I really have the feeling to be back in childhood, playing the gangster. I almost want to sing on of those cheezy opening song So, well...The way I'm playing a male char is very different from a female char. I'm not indentifying myself. I'm not playing a char because I find him sexy (not really my type of guy). I'm just having fun with my disco-gangster! And he is awesome. In addition no one seems to play a black character (atleast not in Europe), so I'm also original. Yeaaaaaah
  9. Hello everyone that has read my thread. Thanks for your comments. I've not worked on it since the moment I've posted it, because I didn't had the chance to really experiment roleplaying in SWTOR yet. I'm intending to write a full paragraph concerning the specifics of StarWars, and some help for new players. Unfortunately to write something correct I need to experiment it. And I've not. Concerning different point, I'll try to answer. 1. Casual roleplayers A casual roleplayer is a player that only roleplay on specific occasion, for example : in between his PVE or PVP activities. Sometimes he have a alt character dedicated to RP, while his main stay focused on end game. Casual roleplayer are often not very well introduced in the core of a RP community. That mean casual rolaplayers can encounter specific difficulties. For example : how to start roleplay? How to find it? Where to go, when you do not belong to the core that have well established plots? It can be very discouraging for a casual roleplayer. This is why I've adressed this guide aswell to casual roleplayers. 2. Concerning the StarWar storyline and what to do with it I've not spoken about this yet, because this is the part where I need experience and feedback before to write something valuable. I'm personaly shared about this. While I do understand, you can hardly share with other rolaplyers that "your character have been the winner of the great hunt" as all others bounty hunter have shared the same fate than you, I find silly to disregard completly the wonderful storyline of the game. I mean, this game is a dream for solo or small group roleplaying. For once we do have a well written story line that we can follow. You see your character taking shape while choosing your answers. You can hear its voice, and see it react along cinematics. While I'm playing my character, I see it taking life, step by step, and I'm getting involved with it just by questing. So yeah...we can not really share with other players "our class storyline" while roleplaying. But how to do to be able to NOT forget what you have lived with your character along the storyline, and the background and/or stories your are roleplaying with other players. This is probably the biggest point in SWTOR roleplay, and this deserve a well written "chapter" in this guide. But for that, experiences and feedback are needed. And I'm even not sure to be the best person to speak about it (atleast not for now), cause my experience of roleplay in SWTOr had been kinda limited to nothing EDIT : I agree with this player!
  10. I think you should ask your fellow members to contribute, and then make a vote. In that way it will become one of the very first big descision you have taken together, and your guildies will be proud of their name.
  11. Someone have difficulties to forget another game *wink* I've started Empire, with my guild. I wanted to play a bad character for once. Ended with a Neutral Imperial Agent, slightly dark, but not much. But my guild voted for a change, so we have re-make our guild on the Republic side. My new main character is a Jedi COnsular, that fit perfectly my personality. She is so sweet and gentle and wise !! <3 I think I prefer Republic. I can't really play my IA anymore now. Not because I dislike the Empire, but because I want to play where my community is active.
  12. I find this game wonderful to get connected to your character. Everything is made so you will really feel a bond fast. The story line, the character creation, the companion that accompany you in your adventures, and the fact that your character have a voice and that you see him/her answer and react. I've made four character since the release. My Imperial Agent is the one I had been the most connected to, because I played with her a lot, started my video-serie project, and leveled her very slowly. SO I had time to make her speak with her companion, do Space quest, PVP, wander arround etc... The storyline is also very immersive. My second character (and new main) is my Mirialan Jedi Consular. As I'm leveling together with my boyfriend, the questing goes faster. However, I really find her pretty and cute, the temper of a Jedi Consular fit better my personality. I've not created as much bond with my companion, but I suppose this will come in time. I'm not in a hurry. I'm now trying for the first time a male character. He is a smuggler lvl 6, so I can't say if in 10 lvl I'll not be tired of him already. But for now I find it awesome. I'm a girl in real life, and I never manage to get connected to male character. This one, I made just as a joke : I'll certainly not identify myself to him, and I've not make him to "drool on a sexy char". But I find him awesome. I've tried to create a guy that could come out a 70ies American TV serie (like Starsky&Hutch), and it's exactly that. It's just so fun to play, this cocky guy, rolling on the floor in his leather jacket and his tight pants to get under cover. hahahaha! I've the feeling to have discover something new!
  13. My vote is : female body type 4 + the first asian face (same as Mako) I really like it because it make a sweet, cute and gentle face. Like this character Work very nicely with all races Chiss Zabrak Rattataki Human bounty hunter Human dark skin Sofisticated human Miraluka
  14. Me, and my guild started as Empire. We had several arguments for it. For example, I'm always playing "good" character, I wanted to try to play a "bad character" and I made a Imperial Agent. Really love the story line, btw. But then my guild get tired of the Empire, and we decided to re-roll Republic. I must confess that, even if I really enjoyed my IA, I prefer to be Republic. I was getting sick of all the killing, the Sith madness, and the hardcore moral dilemna. It's interesting, yes, indeed, but well..I'm a carebear IRL, so ....yeah...I feel more comfortable with my super sweet Consular!
  15. I changed my spec to Balance for my lvl 27 Sage, and I just loved it in Warzone. Managed to get 6 medals for the first time!
