  1. At last someone who speaks sense Way back in May I had relatively poor gear compared to what I have now and was first venturing into the world of operations. This is when my guild still existed and we did Bonecrusher on normal mode. Pretty sure the HPS still sits top of the records on Ask Mr Robot at about 2400hps and that was with all out power stacked mods from columi, let alone the black hole stalker ones and all the fancy new augmentations, focus and earpieces that have come out since then. Without a shadow of a doubt, if people got injured enough then my heal output is significantly higher than that now. The trouble is, everyone has better gear and doesnt take damage anymore Would be worth trying though, I bet you could push 3500, perhaps even 4000 hps if you specifically asked your group to be bad and get hurt a lot There are forums out there that show that pure power does give the best HPS return, they just argue that you are better being more rounded and versatile with the other stats. I just feel that with the high surge and a relativley low critical then when the time comes to pop relics, stims and recklessness then my crit chance is more than high enough to just about guarantee a few crits which gets you out of the required phase and back into maintanance.
  2. I will keep my advice short and simple... Stack power People read too much into crit. The bonus healing is what matters and if the "**** hits the fan" then pop recklesness, your adrenal and relics to survive the phase. Then from here on in, in nearly 90% of the time your higher bonus healing will make life simple for the tanks and anyone else caught in your puddle. People probably wont agree with me though and tell you to stack willpower... I just disagree and my LInear Solver spreadsheet tells me that this is the best way to maximise heals per second. You wont overheal as long as you know what you are doing and start your heals at the right time.
  3. In all circumstances power gives the best increase to your heal per second, the other stats just make you a bit more flexible. Just depends whether you like the slightly more frequent large crit heal or the more sustained hps. Personally, when the **** hits the fan I know it's coming so pop recklessness to just about guarantee two crit heals. Rest of time I prefer the higher hps output of power mods/augs. I do only PVE so my advice might be as good as a chocolate tea cup in a war zone.
  4. Unfortunatley, not very good =( It all started well. Took about 15 minutes to get my healer into a random T1 HM and it was a pretty well balanaced group. We battled through False Emporer and was about to get to malgus at the end. Unfortunately, one of the members of the group had to leave for r/l reason. We got a rather helpful pop up that said we could add a member to fill up our group and instructions on what to do. So i followed the instructions and then lo and behold, we all got kicked back to the start of the instance, it reset completely. It was too late for people to run it again so we closed down the group very dissapointed that we couldnt get our 5 dailies. More concerning for me is if this happens again in the future. Is it suppose to reset like this? Otherwise I can see even more frustration around the corner, particularly for operations which can take a while and people may come and go. I sent a ticket in about this so I would hope that a fix gets put in place. Or perhaps we did something very wrong in what we clicked when asked if we wanted to add another member, if so, perhaps it needs much clearer instructions. So mixed feelings. Happy to get a group in 15 mins but not so happy that after an hour or so gaming we got to end boss and then it totally reset the instance.
  5. best make up a rakata triage then ready for when 1.3 hits. Was it really that overpowered that we needed nerfing? I also read that they have reduced the "on use" stat increase on relics, so I am assuming my campaign relics will have less +power on them. They do note that the duration is increased. As a sorc healer, burst healing is our weak point really and this doesnt help. No major problems and nothing ground breaking, but on the whole it is still negative changes as opposed to positive for healers from what I can tell in the patch notes. Not moaning by the way, just point it out =)
  6. as posted elsewhere... •Attack Adrenals now reduce healing done by 20% when active. I cant quite figure out if thats another healer nerf... i think it is.
  7. "•Attack Adrenals now reduce healing done by 20% when active." I cant quite figure out if that is another healer nerf. I think it is...
  8. No problems. If you are an healer you're stat priority is power > willpower > crit/surge > alacracity So, for the VNORS (+Overkill aug) you get the following in comparison with the tionese... +58 power (your priority stat) -21 willpower (your tradeoff for getting power, but power gives better returns so no problem) -9 critical (no biggy) -6 endurance (no biggy) +29 alacractiy (excessive but it does mean that you can sack off all the alacracity mods in your other gear and still be at your balance of 250) When you add all that up, you get a total of +51 which is significant. Furthermore, the cast majority of that is towards power which is your primary to stack. It is by far... the best to have and miles better that tionese (miles and miles).
  9. That is totally untrue. The matrix is better than a relic with large cool downs. It is an essential part of most peoples high end gear setup.
  10. When I read the title, I thought this was the name of the new daily mission from the world event.
  11. Watching it live now and have to say you are doing a great job and you have restored my faith in the community involvement. Pretty cool you put this on and are listening to the players, its even cooler you are streaming it live on the website. There is enough abuse on this forum so for once, have a big pat on the back.
  12. I still get this and its very annoying. Can we please have a server down time and patch in US prime time to fix it please =)
  13. I assume my post will get lost in the ocean of other replies but it appears this is the place Bioware would like us to give our feedback, so here goes. If you take the time to read this post then feel free to comment. First, its worth noting that in general I avoid forums as I like to consider myself a well balanced person who can understand multiple points of view. A trip to the forums always shows people with insanely polar opposite views so whatever you post will always get shot down and abused. However, this issue I felt was worth commenting on. I should also note that I think this a great game and that I will definitely continue playing. During the down time today I took the time to head out to the food market earlier than usual so I am no social reject who compains insanely just because I am missing 4-6 hours of gameplay. However, I do think you have handled this situation very poorly bioware/EA and would highly reccomend you take some time to do a lessons learnt about this week and gather feedback (Regardless of how negative it is) from this forum about your actions. My key thoughts are: 1) You cannot continue to annoy the EU playerbase with matinanance times that are extremely inconvenient and now starting to eat into good ol prime time. For example, I know a lot of people that consider the morning / early afternoon slot on a saturday as a great time to play as we try and wind down from a long week at work. 2) Improve your communication with the playerbase. Details as to why servers are going down on a saturday is very limited and gets people guessing. This just causing mass arguments on the forum. If you had said up front that there was a major exploit in the game that needed fixing immediately then people would be much less upset at your actions. 3) I still see no real reason why you cannot split the maintanance times for EU and US. The Eu servers and all their staff are based over in Ireland so there are no logistical issues. If you are concerned it will cause population issues on servers during the cross over period (i.e. US logging into EU during their downtime) then simply put some control mechanisms in place to mitigate that issue (which I feel will not be significant anyway). As a rational person, I will not scream "quitting" over this issue but I have to admit it has got me annoyed. if you have managed to annoy me then I am pretty sure that the vast majority of irrational people who play MMORPG will take much more drastic action. This is why I have seen quite a lot of quit posts and whereas I dont agree with them, for me that is a negative for the game I love playing at the moment as I want to see it be as prosperous as possible. I hope you have found some usefull feedbacak in this post. I will never know if it has been read or included in any future learning but at least I feel I have done my bit =) Regards
  14. Bit sad but I wrote a monte Carlo simulation in excel to test this out. Will post findings when I can be bothered to write it up. It kinda confirms what we think, get crit to a base level, willpower is v important and surge/alacrity give similar effects with larger variance on surge and less on alacrity, but similar means.
  15. I think some of the issues are with guild loading. Not everyone in guild have been getting in at same phase so for those that get in late, they obviously need to join the same server as guildies. For those unguilded but get in earlier they will be joining servers and filling them up. Then guildies need to come on top of that. Not a great deal they can do about it though.
