Spot on. It's not a matter of being upset, but disappointed. We've brought this up for years with this game and every year things continue to worsen, and now the game has finally been passed off to another company, not Blizzard, not ArenaNet, not Bethesda, the game was lateralled to a company whose claim to fame is UO. I have no doubt the developers are competent or they wouldn't been given the game at all, but this wasn't a lateral move, it was a downgrade, at least in staff numbers. Your Yoshi P statement a bit ago is also spot on. I played that game for awhile. If more people were as transparent as he was, people would more likely be willing to stick around. I'm sure you've seen it, but there is video of him telling the player base, once people have run through the latest expansion and have nothing left to do, he completely understands if people want to take a break from the game, he even suggested it because he's a long time gamer. People like that, whether that's a sales pitch or not, it resonates with a community. -

The new updates screen is functioning. The description text is very small for my 2560x1440 screen, using what I think is the "Default" user interface setting. When I closed it to try and adjust my settings I couldn't figure out how to re-open or re-see it. It did not pop up on the second character I logged in to (I assume this is intended, good). I guessed it might be under the ! exclamation window on the top right but did not see it there. It seems cool - I often have players ask me about the newest updates as if they are maybe not fully aware of what's going on or what's coming up - but I think they may be more players who are not actually logging in recently or playing. My first impression was "cool!" then my immediate second was "are the developers actually going to manage to keep this updated...?" the launcher has some occasionally issues where it shows old news which causes some major confusion. I love the eligibility column that is a common player question for all new content. The phrasing is good and correct to how players understand instructions for eligibility. The story column at the top might be confusing for players who are not caught up with the story. I know it is PTS so the story is not available but i clicked it and it went to my mission log with older story to complete in it. -

Per https://forums.swtor.com/topic/795177-bug-report-forum-usage/#comment-8547643 Launcher issues should be posted in the technical issues forum, but if you dont provide the information requested then no one can help you I do hope it miraculously starts working again , maybe try on a different computer and see if it works, if it does work on a different computer and you have checked the antivirus and firewall Did you edit the client_setting file per the link in the first post ? https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Game-failing-to-launch-on-Clicking-Play/m-p/4809830/highlight/true#M70795 It would be helpful to have the dxdiag and the contents of the client_setting file to compare if you are getting to the chain in the dark screen and not at the launcher with a loading sign
