    • Ranged usually has an easier time due to a few mechanics in some rounds. However, the last toon I've done it on was my Sith Guardian, so melee can do it as well once you learn the mechanics. I do recommend watching some videos, so you know what to expects (I did when I was initially struggling with it, and it really helped).
    • Oh please you know I don't want NiM achievements and rewards. We've talked about it! I don't even want SM or Vet Achievements in OPS because I'm not able to do them period! I don't even want heroic-4 dumbed down! I just want to be able to do SOLO content on my own! Do you think I am so selfish not to mention stupid to think I deserve that Ugly Dread Masters helmet or those freaky wings? If you do, that's why I despise the lack of understanding.
    • Out of likes, but I LIKE this post. You're exactly right; it's bad enough that they are essentially telling small guilds and solo PVEers that we aren't welcome to PAY REAL WORLD MONEY to play their game, but to top that off with this holier than thou attitude and to offer up this ridiculous do more Heroics crap is insult. Are there Heroics, we can one-click, yup. But that's somehow okay, according to these people who clearly don't even actually PLAY the game. So disgusted. And  I would have just "liked" this post and said nothing, but this game is stupid. Limit how many "likes" I can have, and I will LIKE a post anyway, and then make my own case.
    • Boss fights and their mechanics are definitely designed with a specific balance in mind? That's just simply, objectively, how MMO's are designed. When you are designing an encounter in an MMO, you don't just go "Okay, we have a plan for the mechanics; let's use a random number generator for their stats," you go "Okay, this is the intended difficulty, this is the intended balancing."    This discussion is simply over whether or not that balancing still holds in place! I'm not moving the goalpost; you stated, with no room for interpretation, that damage and survivability of the PC do not matter; I explained how that is demonstrably false. This isn't addressed at me, but I need to say this; don't assume the reason that people are here, don't automatically try and accuse them of whatever it is you're trying to accuse people of. It's petty, adds nothing to the conversation, and is not a good look to anyone who may look into this thread. Again, we are all just here to discuss a game we enjoy!  
    • the overriding factor that makes me think case isn't stored at all and all of these different displays are in fact different implementations of string processing is the aspect of name uniqueness simple example, currently there can only be one Steve per server, regardless of how it's typed in the character creation name field (Steve, steve, STEVE, sTeVe) it doesnt really surprise me that name displays in chat have minimal processing, because the chat window itself has minimal processing; the only time you don't see exactly what you type out is if you type a word that's on the game's profanity filter with said filter enabled
