Server Consolidation | 09.17.2012, 12:57 PM
Hi everyone,

Earlier this summer we launched the Free Character Transfer Program which offered players the option to transfer their characters from specific origin servers to selected destination servers. Following the success of the Free Character Transfer Program, and after closely monitoring server populations, we have now taken the next step in our on-going server population balancing process. We have upgraded destination servers in order to support a significantly higher number of players. As of tomorrow, all characters on origin servers will be automatically moved onto the upgraded high population destination servers. By centralizing our player populations on these higher population destination servers, we feel that we can offer our players the best possible Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ experience.

Hello there everyone. I just wanted to step in and post that we are aware that there is a way for players on PvE servers to force-flag others for PvP without their consent. This issue is one that we take seriously and are going to resolve in an upcoming patch. Thanks for your patience while we ensure a fix.

Additionally, thanks for the thoughtful responses in this thread. When differences of opinion are given respect, it leads to good discourse. This type of discussion enriches the community. o/''\o

Last time I wrote about this, the ingame ticket was removed | 09.04.2012, 02:31 PM
Hello there! Thanks for posting reports regarding some group members not getting Group Finder rewards when "Reward Available" is indicating eligibility. We’re currently investigating this and would like your help in collecting details about the issue.

If you have been in a Group Finder group and have encountered this problem with either Flashpoints or Operations, please post in this thread to provide as much of the following information as possible:

1. Were you eligible for rewards according to the Group Finder UI? Was everyone in the group eligible?
2. How did you queue for Group Finder (Full group of 4, partial group, individual)?
3. Did your Group Finder group lose a player and find a replacement player? Or were you a replacement for an already existing group?
4. Did anyone die or leave the instance at any time? If so, what were the conditions?
5. Did the group leader receive rewards (if eligible)?
6. What role were you signed up for when you did not receive rewards (ie tank, healer…)?

Your details are important and appreciated as we work on a resolution to this issue!

*Spoiler* Who did you choose? (Trooper) | 08.31.2012, 03:30 PM

What I mean is at some point the one you picked has to make a descision of their own and depending on who you picked might have a different outcome. Like perhaps Jorgan is more suited in this regard.
This was something I thought about a lot as we were developing the storyline. Ultimately, I think that if there were a mission where one character performed the XO job better than the other, Players would feel obliged to metagame and choose the "better" character regardless of personal/roleplay preferences. I think this is borne out somewhat in the posts from players who (sadly) chose a character solely out of fear of losing their romance options. (As other posters have confirmed, romances are not affected by this choice.)

My goal was for there to be no "correct" choice from the game's perspective, only from your own point of view as the commander of Havoc Squad. On that note, it's very fun reading everyone's opinions on the choice, so thank you all for sharing.
