Miraluka Head Gear | 08.16.2012, 04:53 AM
Hello there! This was recently responded to and, essentially, we're having discussions about the topic.

Currently, the option works as it does because the character customization masks can be highly incompatible with many pieces of headgear. However, we are looking into changing this such that players could select the option, and when headgear is visible, the customized mask would change to something more subtle (but appropriate to the fact that the Species is blind). If players have decided to hide the headgear , their normal visor would show.

We're going to try to keep you updated as there's new information. Thanks for your patience!

The Grand Acquisitions Race | 08.14.2012, 10:36 AM
For a short time only, The Chevin Conglomerate is offering great riches to anyone who brings them rare and unique items. Scattered across all parts of the galaxy, these items must be retrieved before the Chevin return to their home in the furthest reaches of the Outer Rim! Be cautious as some within both the Republic and Imperial governments wonder if there is something more sinister driving the Chevin and their quest to acquire these goods…

Group Finder Broken Since 9 August Maintenance | 08.10.2012, 03:31 PM
Hi there! There's currently a Known Issue with premade groups of 4 when queuing for Group Finder. Unfortunately, this is manifesting in several ways, as you noted here. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working on getting it resolved; due to the way the issue is manifesting, the team is taking extra time in testing the fix once it's ready. We'll keep you updated when more information as it becomes available.

Thus people are leaving group finder groups when that happens with no way to reinvite them (on a side note, it would be a good idea to allow group finder groups to manually invite replacements so they can re-invite people that had to leave the group because of bugs).

I know I have reported this bug multiple times in beta and live in the past year, and still nothing has been done about it.

Yes! We're absolutely looking ensuring that players will actually die when they're knocked back or fall into the Reactor Core in The Esseles. We know that this has been in place since launch, and there have been threads about it here on the forums. Please watch for an update about the issue in the near future.

Hello again! I wanted to update you about another of your questions:

I chose this species as a main with my class and am really bothered by how long it is taking to resolve this issue. Where do we stand with this?

There have been recent discussions around this, and it's something that the developers and artists are looking at now. Bug List the CM's and Devs | 08.09.2012, 04:34 PM
Hello everyone! I just wanted to step in and comment about some of these. We are always working on fixing bugs, and with large and complex projects such as an MMO, there will inevitably be issues that affect gameplay. Your reports are truly important, so please remember to use the in-game /bug feature to report problems you find, and when doing so, please be as specific and detailed as possible. Also, keep the Known Issues list in mind when you're wondering about a specific bug, but also please know that the list is not meant to be comprehensive of everything being worked on.

Once we complete the instance we will never get our BH daily rewards. Then we will have the "Travel Now" button appear again. When we leave the group after completing the instance we get the timer that says we cannot enter another flashpoint. We have to put a ticket in to get our BH comms and that ususally takes about a week. Can we please get this fixed quickly?

We are very aware of this recent issue with premade groups of 4 and are working on fixing it. Because it manifests in a few ways, including not giving commendations correctly, multiple popups, and incorrectly filling the Mission Log, we are spending extra time to test fixes before they are implemented.

This is an issue that we are currently investigating. However, we are not able to provide an estimation about when it will be resolved. We understand it's frustrating to have to contact Customer Support to have your commendations, so as more information becomes available as to the status of this, we'll be sure to give you an update.

Granted it will not happen everytime but it does happen enough to where we have figured out what causes the problem. When will this issue be resolved?

Thanks for this report! We've sent your details along to add to this issue's investigation. If you have more details about this please post them here. Does this only happen when someone is disconnected during the encounter? You mentioned it doesn’t happen every time, but can you give more of an estimate of how often it happens? Does it happen > 50% of the time, for instance?

We have verified this while using vent/mumble and by talking in general chat to other groups in Explosive Conflict. When we see the lag EVERYONE sees it at the sametime. This is easy to recreate by just spending sometime in a flashpoint or Ops. Our theory on what is causing the problem is that it happens when a new instance is created and/or when a group wipes and runs back in. We do not have a way to prove that but I assume that you guys have the tools to see if that is what is happening. When will this problem be fixed?

We have seen an increase in reports of lag spikes happening for groups as a whole during Operations and Flashpoints since 1.3 was released and it's been a top priority to identify the causes and resolve them. We have already identified a few optimizations and are looking at implementing them after they're fully tested, but unfortunately I can't provide a specific patch when they'll be ready to go in at this time.

This error "[Server Admin]: Permission to enter on he1036, access denied: could not move player to selected area"

We have been investigating the reports of instances either resetting or not allowing players back in, and we’ve found a couple of bugs in the system. We had rolled out a configuration change that should have mitigated one of them, but we have more permanent fixes coming during future maintenance periods.

The bug that prevents travel, either because of the “Server Admin” error or just being bounced back to character select with no error should be resolved with the next patch deploy. Unfortunately, there’s no workaround for that one, although it should be rare now that we’ve made configuration changes. If you do encounter it after the next patch, definitely let us know and we’ll look into it.

The other bug is with the way the instancing system works which would cause the instance to reset, but travel would appear to work fine. We’re going to try to get that fix out as soon as possible. In the meantime, as long as one member of the team stays in the instance (even if dead, just not released to the medical center) then your group shouldn’t be hit by this bug.

GamesCom 2012 Meet & Greet – RSVP Here! | 08.09.2012, 01:35 PM
Hello everyone!

Gamescom 2012 is around the corner and Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ will be there. We thought this would be a perfect time for you, the fans, to meet the Developers and the Community team. Therefore, we are holding a Community Meet & Greet on Thursday, 16th of August!

After GamesCom closes on Thursday (8 PM German time), we will have busses waiting for the invitees and transport them to the hidden location of the venue. It is about 4 kilometers away from GamesCom. The Devs and the Community team will be there and we are ready for your questions! Please feel free to ask us about SWTOR, GamesCom, or any other topic you would like to discuss.

Please keep in mind, that this Meet & Greet is not a large scale event. It is a small gathering where you have the chance to talk to other players and the BioWare team. First drinks (at least) are on us!

Unfortunately, we don’t have space for everyone so please RSVP for the show in this thread. Besides letting us know you are coming, please also specify the number of people you are bringing. Please don’t sign up with groups larger then 10. We will have a raffle next Monday and randomly draw the winners that will receive an invitation to the Meet & Greet. Around 80 people will be chosen to attend.

Sitenotes:

The event is not “completely free”. First round of drinks – as mentioned – is on us, but as we will be in a nightclub so it might be usefull to have some cash on hand.

If you are invited, you need to show up on the SWTOR booth on Wednesday (Press day) or Thursday to pick up your tickets to the Meet & Greet.

We will have busses that drive you TO the venue, but due to the fact that it is open ended, we won’t have busses that bring you back. There are parking spaces around and public transport is not far away.

It’s a small meeting, chat with us but don’t expect a big show

Interested? Great! Just respond to this thread by 9AM (German time so 3AM CDT) on Monday and keep an eye on your PM Box.

Cya at GamesCom!

I Got A Message From Eric Musco?? | 08.07.2012, 02:00 PM
Hey everyone,

You caught me, I totally did send that PM! As I explained, one of my roles here at BioWare is guild outreach and so sometimes I like to prowl the forums and establish contact with new guilds that catch my eye. However, anyone should feel free to contact me with questions, comments or concerns in regards to guilds. We have a public email address for that kind of thing and it is guilds@swtor.com. Any guild should feel free to reach out to me through that address.

Thanks!
