Just going to leave this link to Jeff Hickman's State of the Game here. Cathar are mentioned.

Consolidated Post: APAC/Oceanic Server Concerns | 03.21.2013, 09:03 AM
Hey everyone!

I have an update of sorts, or at least an update on an update. As many of you will likely read in Jeffís State of the Game blog we are actively working on a plan for the APAC servers. I know this is something we have said to you a couple of times and what you are really looking for are the details. I donít have those for you yet today, but, I will definitely have them for you next week. I am even confident in saying that you will have them earlier in the week as opposed to later.

I know it isnít the details you wanted just yet but we are finalizing them now and you can look for them next week! I really appreciate you all continuing to be patient with us.

State of the Game #3 | 03.21.2013, 08:31 AM
Hey everyone,

Please discuss Jeff Hickman's State of the Game #3 in this thread.

The Harbinger - Unavailable | 03.21.2013, 01:47 AM
The Harbinger is once again available. Thank you all for your patience.

The Harbinger - Unavailable | 03.20.2013, 11:48 PM
Quick update, we are still working on resolving the issue and have no ETA. I will let you know when I have more information.

The Harbinger - Unavailable | 03.20.2013, 10:18 PM
Hey folks,

I know right now your biggest concern is the ETA and I have an update of sorts. I still don't have an exact ETA but I can tell you that it will be no less than one hour from now before the servers could be brought back up.

I will keep you updated as I have more information.

I'm pretty sure that the server shutdown messages are sent via the chat system, so it's entirely possible they tried, but you couldn't read them...
This is correct. Part of the issue with the chat system having errors is that for some folks they are unable to see server broadcasts when this occurs. That is why we put out the messaging about the server coming down on all other channels prior to bringing it down for maintenance.

The Harbinger - Unavailable | 03.20.2013, 09:28 PM
We will be bringing The Harbinger server down at approximately 8:45 PM PDT as we perform unscheduled maintenance.

This maintenance is to address issues that players are experiencing involving chat and in-game mail. Keep your eyes on this thread for updates.

Hoods no longer work with helmets? | 03.20.2013, 04:50 PM

Regarding my announcement above, it looks like testing has revealed that this will not be fully fixed in Patch 1.7.3. Some of you will find your helms where they should be, but there will still be a couple of helms that will not display properly. Once the patch goes live, I'll post an update to the Known Issues to address which ones, and we're already working to ensure that they're addressed also.

Thanks for your continued patience!

[Bug] Assassin, Exploitive Strikes Proc issue. | 03.20.2013, 04:09 PM
Hi folks,

Thanks for your reports!

I moved this thread out of the PTS Forums, because it isn't reporting a PTS bug. Please remember that if something is an issue on the Live Servers, even if you see that it's still a concern when testing, post your bug report outside of the PTS forums. For guidelines on posting in PTS, please see this thread.

As for this issue itself: we are aware of this, and it will be fixed in Game Update 2.0. In the meantime, we've added it to the Known Issues.

On a side note, I love seeing you guys talk about how to best get confirmation of the issue and provide us with information such as combat logs! While this didn't need that level sleuthing, it's cool to see and would certainly come in handy with other issues. o/''\o

Revan's Chestplate; any word on a fix? | 03.20.2013, 04:05 PM
Revan is so strong he stacks hoods for power!!!

I will pass this on for investigation.

Andryah is correct. I have done it myself a few times and as fast as I could press delete, and recreate, it was available. It should be instant.

This is exactly right! To be sure, I queried our developers to see if the mask was supposed to have modulation, and they confirmed that it was not designed to modify the voice.

Question of the Day 3/20/2013 | 03.20.2013, 10:33 AM
What is your favorite SWTOR planet to explore or just simply hang out on?

Personal Answer: Alderaan. Alderaan. Alderaan. Alderaan.
I am always rushing to get there and then I never want to leave. It's gorgeous. I love the music. And there are THRANTAS! I am a sucker for Thrantas.

Amber already came in and talked about cleaning the thread up a bit but I am going to be closing this thread. We are also going to be removing all further threads talking about an SGRA toggle being implemented into the game.

I will personally apologize as this was my error. My hope was that a topic like this could allow for constructive discussion on the inclusion, or lack there of, for SGRA. Unfortunately as we have mentioned previously, including an SGRA toggle is discriminatory and these topics quickly devolve into arguments of the social and moral nature, which have no place on the forums.

This was the statement we made before, which still remains true today:

As a gentle reminder: Discussion of the implementation of toggles to filter same gender romance options is considered discriminatory language and is neither appropriate nor allowed on the forums. Posts along this vein of discussion will be removed.
Thank you for your understanding and I apologize for any offense given by allowing this topic to remain.

I wanted to pop in and give an update on a few minor changes coming to the Cartel Market Reputation system. I know these things will not address all of your concerns but as always, keep your feedback coming. We are continuing to look at ways to improve the system.
  • Coming in Game Update 1.7.3 Cartel Market Certificates will now be bind on legacy (as with any other timing announcement this is subject to change).
  • We feel that a frustration point for some players is that the Contraband Resale Corporation is that it appears too tightly tied to the rest of the Organizations you see in the Reputation system. Sometime in the future, (no exact timing yet) we are going to move all Cartel Market Reputations to their own tab within the Legacy UI.

As always, keep the feedback coming. We are constantly exploring new ways to improve on the Cartel Market Reputation system.

Allow SGR to be turned off | 03.19.2013, 02:19 PM
Hello everyone,

This post is just a reminder: while we do not want to stifle opinions about including SGRA in the game, it is important that the conversation surrounding this topic remain civil and within the forum rules. As with other threads about this topic that we have had to close lately, replies here have started to become disrespectful and are increasingly about political and moral standpoints rather than the game itself. Please keep this in mind when replying to one another.

For now, we are going to leave this thread open, as most of you are doing a good job of keeping on-topic and respectful. We appreciate your understanding.

Can we get a response on the Ilum Boosting please? | 03.19.2013, 01:38 PM

I don't want everyone to get too caught up here on my vocabulary. I simply meant we do not consider it an exploit in that it is not severe to the point that we will be actioning accounts/characters for it.

Players got creative in a way we did not originally intend, but we do not want to punish you for it. However, we also did not intend for it to be that way so we are making a temporary change to address it until we can get a more permanent solution in place.

Infernixx nailed it. This is correct.

Can we get a response on the Ilum Boosting please? | 03.19.2013, 12:44 PM
Hey folks,

I wanted to give you all an update on this now that I have all of the information in place.

First, we are not considering this an exploit so anyone who had fear of action being taken against their characters, etc, should not be afraid. We will not be doing anything to players who used the Ilum pylons to get to 50.

I will say that player ingenuity never ceases to amaze us all. This was not a part of the intended design of the Gree event running simultaneous to the Double XP Weekends. Due to this, we are going to be having a maintenance later this week to deploy a fix to this issue.

I wanted to talk a bit about the fix itself since it will mix up things on Ilum temporarily. Our immediate fix to this issue is that for the time being, we are going to disable bolster on Ilum. This will have a couple of different affects.
  • Low level characters will no longer be treated as level 50 in regards to experience. They will now have the normal experience penalties associated to grouping with a player of a higher level. Meaning those players will now gain little to no experience when grouped.
  • Players who are levels 45-49 will have a slightly harder time completing some Gree event quests as they are no longer bolstered to level 50.
I want to again reiterate that this is only a temporary solution. We are continuing to investigate the issue and intend to have a more permanent solution in place before the Gree event returns.
